Sue Fox (right) and Julia McLeod (left) are two San Francisco Bay Area quilt makers who make new quilts from rescued materials. Specializing in incorporating silks and other up-cycled fabrics into their work, they love to exhibit, lecture and teach about their work.
Many quilters have stashes of neckties, kimonos, saris and more. Silk and Salvage’s lectures and workshops aim to give quilters the inspiration, tips and techniques necessary to to make beautiful silk quilts.
